We held our Malaysia day meeting on Sat 14th September.

With 7 rounds of material, and I counted 27 people in the room, this was an undoubted success. Bernard was over from Singapore, Mike + Jane travelled down from Leicester, Malcolm from Bristol, Jon from darkest Norfolk, Rob + Diane from Southampton, Mike and Tony from Yorkshire and many others from slightly nearer.

There has been discussion about the Future of Philately, elsewhere on this forum, and it has been suggested that 'moderns' are the way forward especially for new collectors.

The turn out for Malaysia day shows good interest in moderns.

22 stayed for dinner across the road.

A good turn out. Was it the topic? the fact it was a whole day ? or the dinner after? which attracted members?

Nick's photos of the displays, and some ofthe attendees, are on this site, in the Reports of Meetings 2013 section.
