A thought, not directly relevant to your topic, (I will post what I have that is relevant later) ;) , but there is generally an etiquette on bulletin boards that you:-
a) do not post 'off topic'
b) don't refer to a thread elsewhere without including a direct link to the thread.

Usually this can be achieved simply by navigating to the page we want to discuss, copying the web address from the browser address line and pasting it into our post.

That doesn't seem to work though in our current setup because the true address of the target page, ( i.e. somewhere within our forums) is not shown in the browser address line.

A side question to the administrator - is there any way around this?

I know this all sounds very train-spotter-ish, but it does facilitate the discussion process... :)

Many thanks to Susan for taking the trouble to post cross references to her message, in other relevant places.

These forums are for the pleasant exchange of questions and information about Malayan Philately.

Actually the posting addresses are visible in the box at the bottom left corner of a browser.

If I want to save the address of a posting I can do so by placing the mouse over the message name, right clicking the mouse, choosing
Copy Link location, then go to the place where you want to put the link, again right click on the mouse, and choose Paste.

Once again, many thanks Susan,

Who's being unpleasant  Personally, I thought I was being helpful and informative. :)

Thanks for the tip on how to pick up the cross-forum reference Zephyr :) , though I have no box in the bottom left of my browser. I picked this up by right clicking on the name of the topic in the forum index, and using 'copy link'.
