Hello,
I have another item to inquire about, which I found many years ago in an APS stamp circuit. These were sold as normal blocks of four (I believe for $1 each), but I noticed the small pencil notation in the margin , and then the comma where the period should be on the lower right stamp in each block. I have since located another block and single example of the $1 value with the same variety. I see no mention of this variety, which seems to be constant at this position, in Gibbons or Scott, though a substituted character in an overprint seems like it should merit a listing. Is this catalogued elsewhere, or written up in some book or article? Again, this is not my 'area', so I have no good reference works to consult.
Thanks again,
Jean-Paul

Hi,
the marginal marking confirms that the comma is on 7/10 i.e. row 7 stamp 10.

I also have blocks with the variety in that position, but don't recall seeing it documented anywhere before.
Will see what I can find !
